- Signed storytimes twice monthly; assistance dogs welcome everywhere.
- Longer loans and no-questions renewals on request.
Collections for People with Disabilities
The collection includes 12,000 large-print titles, 9,000 described DVDs, braille starters, tactile picture books and a full digital shelf of ebooks and audiobooks with dyslexia-friendly settings. Anything we lack, we borrow or buy — suggest it at any desk.
Website Accessibility
This site works with keyboards, screen readers and magnification to 400%. Text meets contrast standards, every image carries a description, and forms announce errors beside the field. Report a barrier through the feedback form and we’ll answer within two working days.
TTY Service
Deaf and hard-of-hearing readers can reach every desk through relay: dial (212) 555-0142 via your relay provider, or email the front office for same-day answers. Event bookings accept relay calls with no extra steps.
